Private Pilot's Licence (PPL)

This is the first step in your aviation journey. Learn the basics of flight and get the hang of being in control of a plane.

You Need:

Flight Hours

The syllabus as laid down by the NZ CAA requires a minimum of 50 hours flight time for an unrestricted PPL. This is compiled of approximately 30 hours dual instruction and 20 hours solo. The 50 hours includes a minimum of 10 hours cross country (5 Dual and 5 Solo) and 5 hours instrument flying & terrain awareness plus passes in all 6 theory examination which are integrated in to the course.
